摘要： A machine for manufacturing low-cost garments out of two plies of web material (W-1, W-2), preferably nonwoven material. It includes a pair of feeder mechanisms to supply two separate sheets of the web material through cutter mechanisms (D-1, A-1; D-2, A-2) where the webs are cut into shapes (6, 8) suitable for the desired garment. The shapes of the first sheet (6) are larger than the shapes of the second sheet (8). The first sheet is placed on a carrier (1), and the second sheet is placed on the first sheet. As the combined sheets are moved by the carrier, a plurality of folding mechanisms (24A-24M) turns the edges of the first sheet around the edges of the second sheet to create a seam which is subsequently secured, as by adhesives or sewing. The carrier may be either a rotating cylinder or it may move longitudinally. The seams may be created along machine direction lines, cross machine direction lines, or along lines at acute angles to either the direction of movement or perpendicular thereto.

The solid target surface is ablated to create an ejecta event containing nanoparticles moving away from the surface. Ablation may be caused by laser or electrostatic discharge. At least one electromagnetic field is placed in front of the solid target surface being ablated. The electromagnetic field manipulates at least a portion of the nanoparticles as they move away from the target surface through the electromagnetic field to increase size and spherical shape uniformity of the nanoparticles. The manipulated nanoparticles are collected.

The garment (1) includes stretchable rear panel portions and / or extensible side tapes (19, 19’) for overlapping connection of front and rear panels (2, 3) and a stretchable front opening closure tape (20) for overlapped girth adjustment.
