    • The invention concerns a method for texturing a mesh associated with a surface (1) representative of a scene captured in a plurality of images (110 to 150), wherein at least a mesh element (10) of said mesh is at least partially visible from at least two first images (110 to 140) of the plurality of images (110 to 150). As to reduce the amount of texture information associated to multi-views data representative of the scene, the method comprises: - for each first image (110 to 140), association of a first texture information with said mesh element (10), - projection of the first texture information in said at least two first images (110 to 140), - for each first texture information, estimation of an error information according to a comparison result between the projected first texture information and the texture information of said at least two first images (110 to 140), and - selection of one of the at least two first texture information according to said error information. The invention also concerns a corresponding computation unit.
