摘要： A collapsible desk includes a plurality of elongate frame members (10), a plurality of lower frame supporting members (12A, 12) and a plurality of upper frame supporting members (16, 20). The lower frame supporting members (12A, 12) each comprise a foot portion (14) for resting on a floor. The lower and upper frame supporting members (16, 20) both have at least one horizontal opening (16, 22, 38, 44, 52) and at least one vertical opening (18, 24, 40, 54) which are sized to receive an end of one of the elongate frame members (10) therein. In use, a plurality of lower and upper frame supporting members (16, 20) thereby together hold a plurality of frame members (10) in a horizontal position relative to the floor when the foot portion (14) is resting on the floor and a plurality of frame members (10) in a vertical position. This frame then supports a desk member (26) having a flat upper surface (28, 48, 58) for use as a desk surface. In a further embodiment a chair is added to the collapsible desk using further frame members (10) and chair frame supporting members.

摘要： Abstract The invention provides the use of zinc complexes of selected amino acids from D or L isomers of proline, lysine, histidine. glycine, arginine and tryptophan or their various hydroxyl, amino, alkyl and carboxyl derivatives and zinc chloride, zinc acetate or other pharmacologically acceptable salts of zinc. The use of the compound comprises administering an effective amount of said compounds for inhibition of growth of the malarial parasite, Plasmodium falciparum . The compound is lethal to the parasite in RBC cultures but have no effect on the RBCs. The compound has also displayed activity against the chloroquine-resistant strain-W2Mef. The dose response curves for both 3D7 and W2Mef strains are identical which strongly suggested that the compound is equally effective against field isolates of chloroquine-resistant, P. falciparum . The compound acts on W2Mef strain through killing the target

摘要： A support mechanism (10) for use in releasably stowing a load on a vehicle. The support mechanism includes a flexible member (11) extending from the vehicle, and an annular fitting member (12) having a receiving end (13) for receiving the flexible member (11). An inside surface of the fitting member (12) is tapered at the receiving end so that an inside diameter of the fitting member (12) decreases with distance from the receiving end (13). In addition, a method for selectively moving a load on a vehicle from a stowed position to a released position using a supporting mechanism (10) including a flexible member (11) extending from the vehicle. The method includes providing an annular fitting member (12) for receiving the flexible member (11), supporting the load using the fitting member (12), and moving the fitting member (12) further away from the vehicle so as to bring the load into the released position.
