摘要： This invention relates to a process and apparatus for liquefying natural gas. In another aspect, the invention concerns a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility employing an ethylene independent heavies recovery system. In an embodiment of the present invention, a method for liquefaction of natural gas includes: cooling a portion of a natural gas feed stream to produce a cooled natural gas feed stream; combining the cooled natural gas feed stream with a compressed reflux stream to form a combined natural gas stream; separating the combined natural gas stream into a first lights stream and a first heavies stream; expanding the first lights stream to form an expanded first lights stream; and compressing the reflux stream into a compressed reflux stream.

摘要： High rate gas stripping for removal of sulfur-containing components such as mercaptans from crude oil may be conducted by feeding sweet gas to the bottom of a tower containing pre-heated mercaptan-containing crude oil feed. The gas bubbles up through the crude becoming enriched with H2S, mercaptans, CO2 and/or hydrocarbons. The rich gas exits the tower, and is treated to produce a sweetened gas, a portion of which is recycled to the tower, and an acid gas. The remainder of the sweetened and/or the acid gas may be used as a fuel or processed to recover a portion of any hydrocarbons that may have been stripped out of the crude oil with the mercaptans, sulfur-containing components, CO2, used for enhanced oil recovery or disposed.

摘要： An LNG facility capable of producing a domestic gas product from an intermediate stream in the LNG facility. Withdrawing the domestic gas product from a location within the LNG facility can minimize operational disturbances typically caused by extracting a domestic gas product stream upstream of the liquefaction portion of the LNG facility. In addition, withdrawing the domestic gas product from this location can provide increased control of light contaminants (e.g., nitrogen) in open-loop refrigeration cycles and can ultimately result in incremental LNG and/or NGL production.
