摘要： An interbody spacer includes an elongated body with a maximum width between opposite side walls and a maximum height between upper and lower bearing surfaces. The interbody spacer also includes a leading end nose connecting the side walls to facilitate insertion of the interbody spacer into a disc space between vertebrae in an insertion orientation, from which the interbody device is then rotated to position the upper and lower bearing surfaces in contact with the endplates of the adjacent vertebrae. The leading end nose forms a blunt convex nose between the upper and lower bearing surfaces to maximize the bearing surface area available to contact the adjacent endplates.

The pivot axes include connectors that extend through at least a portion of the sections and are configured for the sections to be pivotally attached for the implant to be flexible to facilitate insertion into the space and to be configurable to the space. One of the sections may include a receptacle that is contained within the section. The receptacle has a fixed size and shape that holds bone growth material. The fixed size and shape of the receptacle prevents the bone growth from escaping during flexing of the implant.

摘要： An adjustable connector including first and second connector members rotationally coupled together and configured to receive first and second spinal rods, respectively. In one embodiment, the first connector member includes an elongated slot that receives the first rod and has a length extending along an axis arranged transverse to the rotational axis, and the second connector member includes a second passage that receives the second rod. A lock member is positioned between the connector members and includes an angled rod bearing surface extending along a plane oriented at an oblique angle relative to the rotational axis. A compression member extends into the first passage of the first connector member and into compressed engagement with the first rod to displace the first rod along the length of the elongated slot and into sliding engagement with the angled rod bearing surface, which in turn axially displaces the lock member toward the second connector member to compress the first interface surface of the lock member against an opposing second interface surface to selectively prevent relative rotation between the connector members.

摘要： A flexible spinal implant (30) for insertion into an intervertebral disc space for intervertebral stabilization is provided comprising a flexible implant section (34) which enables bending of the implant body to facilitate insertion of the flexible spinal implant into the disc space via a spinal surgical procedure. The flexible spinal implant comprises a leading (32) end, a trailing end (36) and a flexible mid section (34) connecting the leading end and the trailing end, wherein the implant is deformable at or about the flexible mid section to thereby permit a substantially straight entry of the implant into the disc space, and delivered to the selected disc space at a desired insertion angle of approach via a spinal surgical procedure. The implant can have a leading end comprising a curved or bullet shaped configuration (38), and the flexible mid section may be comprised of a flexible material.
