    • A device for controlling tension of a rotary printing press comprises an intermediate drag presser roller (6) pressed onto the surface of an intermediate drag roller (4), a pressing device (7) which applies the force in a direction to press the intermediate drag presser roller (6), tension detectors (8), (9) to detect the tension of printed paper (1) which runs passing through a printing unit (2), and a control device (10) which controls the force of the pressing device (7) relying upon the signals from the tension detectors (8), (9).
