摘要： A storage tank defines a cryogen space for storing a cryogenic liquid. The storage tank comprises a combined fill and vent assembly, which comprises a conduit having a first end with an opening disposed within an upper part of the cryogen space, and a second end outside of the cryogen space that is connected to a receptacle, to which a re-filling nozzle can be attached. A check valve disposed in the conduit allows flow only in the direction of filling the cryogen space with cryogenic liquid from the receptacle. A by-pass line is provided around the check valve with a valve disposed in the by-pass line that is operable to open or close to control flow through the by-pass line. The method comprises attaching a re-filling nozzle to the receptacle and opening the by-pass valve to vent vapour from the cryogen space to reduce vapour pressure therein and to cool the conduit, receptacle, re-filling nozzle, and fill line. After venting the storage tank, the by-pass valve is closed, and the storage tank can be re-filled through the receptacle and conduit.

摘要： Described herein are a channel, system and method for monitoring voltages. Typically, the system includes multiple channels, each for sampling one of the voltages. The channels are physically and electrically coupled to a back end board on which is mounted a field programmable gate array (FPGA) that instructs the channels to simultaneously sample the voltages. Optionally, the channel is powered using an power supply that is isolated from the back end board, and transmits information over an electrically isolated connection to the back end board. The channel also includes voltage signal processing circuitry for processing the voltage signal on board the channel, and has stored on it channel identification information composed of at least one of an operating mode of the channel and a serial number of the channel, which can assist with voltage signal processing.

摘要： Adsorbents and methods for removing cations of heavy metal from a medium are provided. The adsorbents comprise a porous media in which at least one oxygen-containing compound of iron, copper, aluminum, zirconium, titanium and combinations thereof is incorporated. The oxygen-containing compound may be incorporated into the porous media by impregnation or dispersion of a suitable precursor of such a compound. The precursor may be further treated to yield the oxygen-containing compound. Such adsorbents are particularly useful for removing lead and/or other metal cations from the environment and may be used in treating drinking water sources.

摘要： A directly actuated fuel injection valve is provided for injecting a gaseous fuel into a combustion chamber. The fuel injection valve comprises a valve body (102) with a fuel cavity (106) supplied with fuel from a fuel inlet passage. A nozzle (110) associated with one end of the valve body (104) comprises at least one nozzle orifice (112) through which the gaseous fuel is injectable into the combustion chamber. In relation to the valve body, the nozzle (110) is movable between a closed position, wherein the nozzle (110) is seated against a sealing surface to provide a boundary between the fuel cavity (106) and the one nozzle orifice(s), and an open position, wherein the nozzle is spaced apart from the sealing surface. A spring biases the nozzle (110) in the closed position, and an actuator (130) is operable to move the nozzle to the open position against the bias of the spring (114).
