摘要： Systems and methodologies are described herein that facilitate synchronization of Node B-ordered parameters, such as discontinuous transmission (DTX)/discontinuous reception (DRX) status, following a handover failure and/or other suitable triggering events. As described herein, upon failure of a handover from a source Node B to a target Node B, a mobile device can return to the source Node B and synchronize with the source Node B with respect to DTX/DRX status and/or other Node B-ordered parameters. DTX/DRX synchronization can be performed by setting DTX/DRX status to a default state, a last DTX/DRX state utilized prior to initiation of the failed handover, or the like. Identification of the last DTX/DRX state can be conducted as described herein according to an analysis of respective orders communicated by the source Node B in relation to respective time intervals following initiation of the failed handover.

摘要： The invention is a system and a method in a system including a mobile station (MS), a group of active cells including a first serving cell (cell a) and a second target cell (cell b) and a controller of the active cells which switches forward link transmissions of data packets from the controller (BSC) through the first serving cell to the mobile station to forward link transmission of data packets from the controller through a second cell to the mobile station. The method determines at the mobile station that swtiching of forward link transmissions should occur from the first serving cell to the second target cell while forward link transmission of the data packets through the first serving cell to the mobile station are occurring; transmitting an indication to switch the forward link transmission of data packets to the second target cell b from the mobile station to the controller; the controller in response to the indication switches the transmission of data packets from the first serving cell a to the second target cell b; and the second target cell transmits the data packets to the mobile station. A cell switch delay, which may be zero or an integer multiple of a time frame interval required to transmit a data packet on the forward link, provides time to ready the second target cell b to begin transmission of the data packets to the mobile station. The cell switch delay may be determined or configured by the network dependent upon the source and target pilots in the active set are within the same BTS or are in different cells.

A user equipment (UE) may obtain information regarding one or more target cells to which the UE attempted cell reselection during a time period. The UE may determine, based on the information, that the UE has a number of attempted cell reselections with a first cell of the one or more target cells that is greater than a threshold number of attempts during the time period. The UE may adjust, based on the determination, one or more cell reselection parameters. In some examples, the UE may generate a data structure that associates the information regarding the one or more target cells with a corresponding one or more instances of time at which the UE attempted cell reselection.

摘要： Aspects of adaptively calculating retransmission timer values are disclosed. In an example, a modem of a first device calculates a delay time of a packet that was transmitted to a second device and determines a coverage enhancement level (CE-level) indicating a communication condition between the first device and the second device. A high level operating system (HLOS) of the first device determines a retransmission timer value based on at least the delay time and the CE-level and sets a retransmission timer based on the retransmission timer value. The first device then retransmits the packet according to the retransmission timer.

摘要： Methods and apparatuses are provided for synchronizing security parameters between access terminals and a wireless network. An access terminal and network entity can conduct a security mode procedure where the access terminal sends a security mode complete message to the network entity. On receipt of the security mode complete message, the network entity may update to new security parameters. The access terminal may initiate a mobility procedure while the security mode procedure is ongoing and may, as a result, abort the security mode procedure and revert back to the old security parameters. The access terminal can send a mobility update message to the network entity including a dedicated status indicator adapted to inform the network entity that the access terminal has reverted back to the old security parameters. In response to the mobility update message, the network entity may revert back to the old security parameters.
