    • Described herein is a structural bracket and use thereof. The structural bracket may be useful in composite floor decking plate applications for example to improve the resilience of an item and coupling suspended from a structural bracket described that may be subject to considerable shear and/or compressive forces in the event of seismic activity. The structural bracket may also increase the seismic strength of both pre-existing and newly formed composite floor decking plates by transferring energy across a composite floor decking plate recess, or at least it may be useful to provide the public with a choice regarding the above factors. Specifically, the structural bracket may comprise a generally polygonal cross-section shape with flanged faces defining at least part of the external perimeter top, sides and base of the structural bracket, and wherein the flanged faces project outwards generally orthogonal to a plane defined by a body of the bracket so as to form a substantially smooth elongated face about the flanged face part or parts of the structural bracket exterior. A further aspect described is the combination of this structural bracket with a composite floor decking plate to form a flooring assembly.
