摘要： A method, power switching system, and communications device supply power in a pulse width modulation (PWM) mode to a transceiver whenever the transceiver processes a low quality signal. A power supply mode (PSM) utility/controller determines a quality of a signal that is currently being processed by a transceiver, and when the quality of the signal is less than a pre-set threshold level, the PSM controller triggers the power supply to operate exclusively in the PWM supply mode. However, when the quality of the signal satisfies a preset threshold level, the PSM controller enables the power supply to autonomously switch between the PFM supply mode and the PWM supply mode. In one embodiment, the controller dynamically determines a power demand by the transceiver and when the power demand exceeds a preset threshold demand level, the controller triggers the power supply to operate exclusively in the PWM supply mode.

摘要： A mobile device that operates in a wireless communication network is disclosed. The mobile device includes a transceiver that uses a first wireless communication technology, which can be Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology. The mobile device also includes a modem that coupled to the transceiver through a standard interface and uses a second wireless communication technology, which can be CDMA. The modem processes the received signal from the transceiver and processes a transmit signal for the transceiver. A first receiver first processing circuit has a matching filter to compensate for and resampling the received signal from the receiver so that that the received signal from the transceiver is compatible with the modem. A transmitter processing has a filter for resampling and adjusting a processed transmit signal for the transmitter.

摘要： If the mobile station (101) locates a peer it will request network metadata and may obtain location related services or service lists. The mobile station (101) negotiates with one of more peers (103) to share the work load of background scanning for network services. After successful negotiation, any peers in the "discovery net" will report or advertise to each other of any newly discovered networks, or networks to which connectivity has been lost. Since the various mobile stations may, when powered on, scan periodically for network changes, the metadata stored on the mobile station (101) will be dynamic and will change periodically upon travels and/or encounters with additional peers. Because the peers (103) may also possess location information, the mobile station (101) may additionally adjust its scan to prioritize services advertised by those members of peers (103) that are located most proximate to the mobile station (101).
