    • A 2-stroke external combustion heat engine according to the present invention comprises a cylinder head (1), a cylinder (2), a piston (3), a connecting rod (4), a crank shaft (5), a crank case (12) having an inner space to provide a plurality of components therein, an inlet valve (10) for selectively closing a cylinder intake manifold (8), an outlet valve (11) for selectively closing a cylinder exhaust manifold (9), a cam shaft driving gear (20) fixedly mounted at the crank shaft (5), a cam shaft driven gear (30) to be engaged with the cam shaft driving gear (20), a cam shaft (40) as the center of rotation of the cam shaft driven gear (30), inlet cam (41) and outlet cam (42) for respectively controlling the opening and closing of the inlet valve (10) and the outlet valve (11), inlet cam bar (43) and outlet cam bar (44) that freely move in a vertical direction in contact with the inlet cam (41) and the outlet cam (42), and inlet valve link structure (50) and outlet valve link structure (60) for making the inlet valve (10) and the outlet valve (11) in gear with the motions of the inlet cam bar (43) and the outlet cam bar (44), wherein the inlet valve (10) is configured to close the cylinder intake manifold (8) during the downward flow thereof and the outlet valve (11) is configured to close the cylinder exhaust manifold (9) during the upward flow thereof. The present invention has an advantage that the opening and closing of the inlet and outlet valves can be done smoothly even under the application of high pressure.
