摘要： The invention relates to coherent single photon sources that provide photons with a high degree of indistinguishability. It is a disadvantage of single photon sources based on QDs in nanophotonic structures that, even at low temperatures, acoustic vibrations interact with the QDs to reduce the coherence of the emitted spectrum. The invention uses mechanical clamping of the nanostructure to damp vibrations leading to a weaker QD – phonon coupling and a higher degree of indistinguishability between successively emitted photons. The clamp is mechanically connected to the length of the photonic nanostructure and has a stiffness and a size sufficient to suppress low frequency vibrations (ω ≤ 10 GHz) in a combined structure of the clamp and the nanostructure.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for the production of a sol-gel based matrix. The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a first alkoxysilane of the general formula: R 1 -Si(OR 2 ) 3 and a second alkoxysilane of the general formula (I): b) preparing a first sol-gel component by polymerisation of the first alkoxysilane in the presence of an acid catalyst, c) preparing a second sol-gel component by polymerisation of the second alkoxysilane in the presence of an Lewis acid catalyst, d) Mixing the first sol-gel component and the second sol-gel component for the preparation of a sol-gel based matrix. The above method results in a sol-gel based matrix with high stability and high porosity. The sol-gel based material may be used for the production of a composite or sensor suitable for monitoring analytes. Methods for preparing these composites or sensors are provided as well.

摘要： A method for isolating cells which have a suprabasal position and expresses epithelial specific antigen but no sialomucin is provided. The isolated cells are shown to share many of the properties expected of a mammary gland stem cell. Three permanent cell lines that are capable of proliferating and capable of differentiating into cells of mammary gland luminal epithelial and myoepithelial cell lineages were established. Such cells form elaborate branching structures resembling uncultured terminal duct lobular units both by morphology and marker expression both in vitro and in vivo . Evidence is provided that these keratin K19 expressing cells most probably is the cells in which breast cancer arises. Thus they constitute a model not only for the developing breast, but also for the development of breast cancer. Also disclosed are the uses of such isolated cells or the cell lines as a model system of the mammary gland for pharmacological studies and their uses in tissue repair or transplantation.
