The system can include a deformable self-supporting receptacle comprising a reservoir, and a loaded substrate positioned in the reservoir of the deformable self-supporting receptacle. 摘要： A spray gun 101 has a spray head 150 connected to a body 102 of the spray gun 101 and a reservoir 156 connected to the spray head 150 for supplying liquid to a spray nozzle 153 of the spray head 150. The spray head 150 is arranged so that liquid from the reservoir 156 is delivered to the spray nozzle 153 without passing through the spray gun body 102 in response to actuation of the spray gun 101 via a trigger 105. The spray head 150 is releasably secured and can be detached from the spray gun body 102 and thrown away after use. The reservoir 156 is mounted on the spray head 150 and can be removed and thrown away with the spray head 150 after use.

摘要： A system and method for preparing and analyzing samples. The system can include a sample preparation system and a sample detection system coupled to the sample preparation system. The sample preparation system can include a deformable self-supporting receptacle comprising a reservoir adapted to contain a liquid composition comprising a source and a diluent. The sample detection system can be positioned in fluid communication with the reservoir, and can be adapted to analyze a sample of the liquid composition for an analyte of interest. The system can further include a fluid path defined at least partially by the reservoir and the sample detection system. The method can include applying pressure to the deformable self-supporting receptacle to move a sample of the liquid composition in the fluid path to the sample detection system, and analyzing the sample for the analyte of interest with the sample detection system.

The body (32) has an aperture (42) adjacent to a closed end (36) and the plunger (34) can be moved to position the sealing member (54) between the aperture (42) and closed end (36) for releasing a partial vacuum created when the paint (57) is drawn into the body (32) and allow the paint (57) to be withdrawn, in use, when the reservoir (30) is connected to a spray gun (1) without actuating the plunger (34). In other embodiments, the reservoir (60;80) comprises a concertina-type body (66) or a pipette body (82).

摘要： Provided are devices for coating (300) a contoured surface or a three- dimensional structure, and methods of making and using the same. The devices have geometries (308) that are in point contact with the contoured surface. The geometries are substantially rigid and are provided by a flexible applicator(306). In this way, the flexible applicator permits conformance to the surface contours, along with rigid point contact that provides uniform and consistent coverage of liquid material. Specifically, the devices comprise a handle (304) and an applicator (302) pliantly affixed to the handle, the applicator comprising a plurality of spaced geometries (308). The devices meter film-forming coating liquids onto contoured surfaces or three- dimensional structures to form uniform coatings and resulting uniform films.

摘要： A paint reservoir has a fluid outlet (115) connectable to a spray gun (101) and a fluid inlet (131) provided with a removable screw cap (132) whereby the fluid inlet (131) is directly accessible for introducing paint to the reservoir while attached to the spray gun (101). The fluid outlet (115) and fluid inlet (131) may both be provided in an end wall of the reservoir with outlet (115) located on the longitudinal axis of the reservoir or offset to allow the size of the fluid inlet (131) to be increased for easier filling of the reservoir. The outlet (115) can be aligned with the longitudinal axis of the reservoir or it can be inclined relative to the longitudinal axis to provide greater clearance for access to the fluid inlet (131) when the reservoir is attached to the spray gun (101).
