The stabilizing element is located primarily in the midfoot region (160) of the footwear but extends into both the forefoot (170) and heel (150) regions. The function of the stabilizing members is to provide support along the longitudinal length of the foot so as to limit non-axial, vertical flexion in the midfoot and heel regions; permit the forefoot to axially flex in relation to the heel; and permit forefoot flexion.

摘要： The log saw clamp (10) of the present invention includes a brace (34) and at least one jaw (38) connected to an actuation member (30). The preferred embodiment has two jaws (26) supporting the logs from below, the brace (34) restraining logs from above and the actuation member connected to both ends of the brace. The diameter of the log receiving area (110) can be adjusted by moving the actuation members. Linear movement of the actuation members causes the jaws to pivote and the brace to translate such that the diameter of the log receiving area is increased or decreased. The jaws are pivotally connected to the actuation member via jaw mounts (74). The actuation member is preferably moved with a turn wheel (90) and gear assembly (94). The brace is spring loaded (42) to the actuation member. The jaws can be interchanged with differently sized and shaped jaws to accomodate differently size logs.

The rubber material eventually enters the lug cavity and becomes attached to the matrix lining.

Additionally, when the upper is in a collapsed state, the seam becomes the widest points of the article of footwear and defines the perimeter of the article of footwear.
