摘要： A filter assembly (10) includes a housing (16, 17) with a central standpipe (34), and cover (19) for enclosing a filter element (50). The filter element (50) includes a ring of filtration media (52) and first and second end caps (54, 62) A vent orifice (61) is formed in the first end cap (54) into the central cavity (53) of the media ring (52). A support core (70) is disposed centrally in the media ring (52) and extends between the first and second end caps (54, 63). The core (70) includes a separate and independent fluid channel (88) extending from the first end cap (54) that is fluidly connected with the vent orifice (61), to the second end cap (62). The second end cap (62) has a central opening (65), and an annular sealing device (98) bounding the opening (65) which receives and seals to the standpipe (34) and includes through-passages (110) fluidly interconnecting the fluid channel (88) in the core (70) with flow opening(s) (38) along the standpipe (34) or in the lower end (17) of the housing to a drain port (25).
