摘要： A dishwasher includes lower and upper racks that slide in and out for loading and unloading of dishes. Either or both of the racks includes a handle secured to the front wall of the rack. The handle is molded from a thermoset polymer material and at least part of the handle is plated with a bright- finish metal coating such as powdered stainless steel. The handle for the lower rack extends above the upper edge of the front wall of the rack for easier accessibility. The upper handle is arranged to be contacted by the door of the dishwasher when the door is closed such that the upper rack is urged inwardly to a correct position for connecting a mid-level spray arm delivery tube to a check valve assembly of the water delivery system.

The dishwasher may include a sensor configured to measure the turbidity of the water in the dishwasher which is used to determine a wash load size. A control unit of the dishwasher may determine and control cycle times, temperatures, heating elements and a blower of the dishwasher based on the wash load size. The dishwasher may include a humidity level determination that may also be used by the control unit to control the operations of the dishwasher. The door assembly may include a duct configured to receive moisture-laden air creating during the drying cycle and encourage the condensation of the water from the air such that the water may be redirected back to the tub portion of the dishwasher and the dry air may be directed out of the dishwasher.

摘要： Provided is a safety arrangement for a dishwasher (100). The safety arrangement may include a rack sensing (130) component configured to determine whether a rack (110) is in a washing location (104) in a dishwasher and to provide a signal in response thereto. A processing unit (126, 132) may be in communication with the rack sensing component and may be configured to receive the signal. The processing unit may be further configured to prevent a washing procedure of the dishwasher when the signal indicates that the rack is not disposed in the washing location. The dishwasher may further include a user interface in communication with the processing unit, which user interface can provide an indicia of the rack not being disposed in the washing location and/or may be rendered inoperable by the processing unit when the signal indicates that the rack is not disposed in the washing location.

The at least one retention member is configured to cooperate with the rack so as to retain and support the shelf member (150) in at least one of a plurality of angular positions with respect to and about the structural member.
