    • Telecommunication equipment operating with pulse code modulation and time division multiplexing includes a switching network in which a wide band connection consisting of two or more channels is to be through-connected. A marking means (M) is disposed at the switching network input, and provides markings of the respective contents in the time slots utilized by the connection channels. A scanning means (AO) is aranged at the output of the switching network for detecting a pattern formed by said markings, and with the aid of it determining a possible relative mutual delay between the respective contents of the channels. The scanning means regulates a means (UO) which equalises delays in the channels such as to ensure that after the connection establishment stage the contents of the channels/time slots regain their mutually synchronized positions in spite of the possible mutually relative delay.

    • Stored program controlled stations associated with a digital telecommunication network each include: a plurality of clocks (7/1...7/n) and an adjustable oscillator (1) for generating the transmission pulses used in the local station and adjacent stations; a phase difference meter (12) for determining, with the aid of a clock selector (13), phase differences between the pulses of the oscillator and the clock pulses; a plurality of regulation value generators (9-11) which are connected via a regulation value generator selector (15) to the phase difference meter, each generator converting, in accordance with its own network synchronizing method known per se, determined phase differences to regulation values for regulating the oscillator. The program memories of the stations include reprogrammable selection memories (16, 17) to store control information by which one of the network synchronizing methods is selected and by which the clock selectors and generator selectors are controlled such that the oscillators are synchronized in accordance with the selected method.
