摘要： Disclosed are a method and a system for performing handover of a multimode-multiband terminal by using multi- target cells in a mobile communication environment. The method for performing handover of a multimode-multiband terminal using multi-target cells in a mobile communication environment, which increases a probability of handover and improves communication quality by using the multi-target cells in a mobile communication system including a CDMA-2000 system, which includes a base station transmitter and a base station controller and provides a CDMA-2000 service to a terminal requesting connection, and a WCDMA system, which includes a radio transceiver subsystem (RTS) and a radio network controller (RNC) and provides a WCDMA service to the terminal requesting the terminal, comprises the steps of: (a) receiving a WCDMA signal transmitted from the WCDMA system through a WCDMA modem and measuring an energy of carrier/interference of others (Ec/Io) value; (b) turning on a CDMA-2000 modem according to the measured value and entering into an idle state; (c) creating multi-target cell information by monitoring a target cell for handover; (d) requesting handover to the WCDMA system; (e) receiving a handover command from the WCDMA system; and (f) turning off the WCDMA modem and switches a communication link to the CDMA-2000 system through the CDMA-2000 modem.

摘要： The method for finding location of a GPS terminal in a GPS satellite-invisible area by using a mapping server including the mobile terminal, a location detector, a PDE and a database, comprising: (a) obtaining a reference pilot signal of a base station or a repeater and a LD pilot signal from the location detector; (b) transmitting information on the reference pilot signal or the LD pilot signal to the PDE, if a strength of the reference pilot signal or the LD pilot signal is determined to be larger than a prescribed value; (c) calculating a pseudo noise code phase value per chip from the PSMM; (d) transmitting the pseudo noise code phase value to the LD mapping server, if the pseudo noise code phase value calculated at step (c) is determined to be a pseudo noise code phase value served for a location detection; and (e) obtaining a location information of the GPS terminal by using the pseudo noise code phase value transmitted at step (d).

摘要： A method and a system for controlling a reverse link rate in a CDMA mobile communication system is provided. A method for controlling a reverse link rate by using the number of active users who are carrying out communication in a CDMA 1xEV-DO mobile communication system, comprising the steps of: (a) measuring a value of rise-over-thermal (ROT) at each antenna end of a wireless base station to obtain a measured ROT value; (b) comparing the measured ROT value with a threshold ROT which defines an allowable limit of the ROT; (c) setting a reverse activation control bit as 0 to be transmitted to a mobile terminal if the comparison result in step (b) reveals that the measured ROT value is smaller than or equal to the threshold ROT; (d) comparing the number of the active users with a threshold user number which defines an allowable limit of the active users if the comparison result in step (b) reveals that the measured ROT value is greater than the threshold ROT; (e) setting the reverse activation control bit as 0 to be transmitted to the mobile terminal if the comparison result in step (d) reveals that the number of the active users is smaller than or equal to the threshold user number; and (f) setting the reverse activation control bit set as 1 to be transmitted to the mobile terminal if the comparison result in step (d) reveals that the number of the active users is greater than the threshold user number.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and a system for providing a terminal-based ringback tone substitute service, as well as a mobile communication terminal for the same. The method includes the steps of (a) receiving a request for an originating call for voice communication with a called terminal from a calling terminal; (b) transmitting a ringback tone start message to the calling terminal, the ringback tone start message being a control message informative of beginning of a ringback tone section; (c) paging the called terminal; (d) transmitting a ringback tone termination message to the calling terminal, the ringback tone termination message being a control message informative of ending of the ringback tone section, and connecting the voice communication between the calling terminal and the called terminal when a response to paging is received from the called terminal; and (e) transmitting the ringback tone termination message to the calling terminal and transmitting unanswered messages to the calling terminal when no response to the paging is received from the called terminal. The mobile communication terminal can play a high-quality ringback tone substitute without being affected by the voice channel environment.
