摘要： A biometric-based verification system comprises a first portable device configured to biometrically verify an authorized user, wherein biometric verification comprises capturing via the portable device at least one of a number of biometric attributes of the authorized user; a first database comprising stored biometric data relating to a number of authorized users; and a second database comprising stored data relating protected personal information; wherein the first portable device is configured to confirm that the at least one biometric attribute of the authorized user corresponds with biometric data stored in the first database associated with the authorized user, and wherein upon verification of the authorized user, the portable device is configured to retrieve protected information from the second database. In another embodiment, the system further comprising means of obtaining a personal identifier via the portable electronic device, via scan or QR code.
