    • Disclosed herein are various embodiments of mechanisms, which may be used in portable terminals. In an example embodiment, a mechanism generally includes a stopper and first and second plates slidably coupled to each other. A first portion of the stopper is engaged within an opening of the first plate. A second portion of the stopper is slidably received within a guide slit of the second plate. The stopper is coupled to the first plate for common movement therewith such that the second portion of the stopper slides within the guide slit when the second plate slides relative to the first plate. The stopper may thus be operable for restricting sliding movement of the second plate relative to the first plate between a closed position in which the second portion of the stopper is engaged with a first end portion of the guide slit and an open position in which the second portion of the stopper is engaged with a second end portion of the guide slit.
