摘要： A method and apparatus for loading fastener collars (10) of the lockbolt variety into a tubular magazine (25) associated with a fastener collar-feeding apparatus (8). Collars are stacked on an elongated flexible mandrel (27), after which the mandrel-collar assembly is inserted as a unit into the tubular magazine. The mandrel is then pulled out of the magazine while deforming a collar retainer (29) provided on the mandrel thereby releasing the collars from the mandrel and leaving the collars loaded in place within the magazine.

摘要： An anchor bolt (10) and system for securing a workpiece (16) to concrete or the like with the anchor bolt (10) operative with a concrete bore (12) and including a pin (22), a collar (46) and a sleeve (44) with the pin (22) having an expansion portion (30) adapted to radially expand the inner end (45) of the sleeve (44) against the concrete bore walls (12) in response to a relative axial force applied between the pin (22) and sleeve (44), the pin (22) also having an enlarged head (26) adapted to engage the expanded end (59) of the sleeve to stop the relative travel of the pin (22) and to further radially expand the previously expanded end (59) of the sleeve (44) where conditions permit and with the collar (46) adapted to be swaged into lock grooves (36) in the pin (22) after completion of radial expansion of the sleeve (44) with the lock grooves (36) being shallow and having a ratio of (h/Du)x102 of four (4) or less and in which the lock grooves (36) have a simulated streamlined root contour, with the collar (46) having a wall thickness defining a volume of material sufficient to provide overpacking of the shallow grooves of around 16%, and with the pin (22) and collar (46) materials having ultimate shear strengths in a ratio of around 1.8:1 to 2.4:1 and with the width of the shallow pin grooves (36) and intervening shoulders (78) being generally in accordance with the shear strength ratio between the pin (22) and collar (46).
