    • A chair having a chair seat and a chair back includes a means for controlling the tilt of the chair back relative to the chair seat, the tilt means comprising a control body mounted beneath the chair seat and a pivot body pivotably mounted beneath the control body. A spring is operatively disposed between the control body and the pivot body. The control means comprises means for limiting the range of angular motion of the pivot body. Further, the locations of the control body, the pivot body, and the rod about which the pivot body pivots are each optimized to reduce the shear force that is applied to the user's back when the user exerts a force against the chair back.

    • An automatic air intake control includes a timing mechanism that regulates the amount of air entering a combustion chamber enclosure during combustion of a fuel. The amount of air is regulated to provide an efficient and clean burn of a solid fuel. The control may include a cover, an actuating assembly, and a controller. The cover is movable between open and closed positions relative to an air passage opening into the combustion chamber enclosure. The actuating assembly is coupled to the cover and configured to move the cover between the open and closed positions. The controller is coupled to the actuating member and configured to control the position of the cover through the actuating member to regulate the air intake into the combustion chamber. The controller may be a time­based device such as a timer, or may be any other device that uses inputs associated with the combustion of fuel in the combustion chamber or a user's preferences for the characteristics of combustion in combustion chamber.

    • A fireplace having a bottom venting arrangement is disclosed. The fireplace includes a firebox having a burner and a combustion chamber. Fumes produced by burning of gas at the burner are pulled into a plenum in the upper portion of the firebox. The plenum is in fluid communication with the combustion chamber. The plenum is also in fluid communication with an upper end of a substantially vertical air passage. The lower end of the air passage is in fluid communication with a blower opening in a bottom panel of the firebox. An intake side of a blower is attached to the blower opening. The blower also includes a discharge side, which is coupled to an exhaust port on the fireplace. The blower operates when a fire is burning, and fumes containing combustion products are drawn into the upper plenum. From the plenum, the fumes travel into the air passage, and then travel in a downward direction to the blower opening and into the blower intake. Fumes are then exhausted from the exhaust port and into an external ducting arrangement, from which the fumes are vented to the atmosphere.

    • A versatile work board system having a board and hook assembly mounted to a rail assembly, and the rail assembly in mounted to a wall. A flip chart holder may optionally be hung on the board to add even more versatility to the system. The hook assembly is rotatable, thereby allowing opposite surfaces of the board to be easily and quickly exposed. The exposed surfaces may accept markers or the surfaces may allow tacking of documents, or one surface may be for markers and the other for tacking. The rail assembly includes a bracket designed to be attached to a wall and to mount a rotatable cam. The cam is received by a rail and rotation of the cam causes locking engagement of the rail to the bracket.
