摘要： Disclosed embodiments may include a pressure sensor comprising a flexible pressure pad and a printed circuit board (PCB) having a plurality of pairs of conductive traces is disclosed. The pressure pad has a conductive surface aligned with the pairs of conductive traces. The conductive surface is configured to electrically couple the pairs of conductive traces. The amount of pressure applied to the pressure pad can be determined by the number of conductive trace pairs capable of conducting an electrical current.

A probe body may directly engage the endopelvic fascia, or may be separated from the endopelvic fascia, heating through (for example) the vaginal wall. In either case, tissue-penetrating electrodes may be inserted from the probe body so as to heat the endopelvic fascia.

In accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present technique, there is provided a method (50) for calculating body fluid metrics by acquiring an absorbance spectrum of a subject's tissue over a range of near-infrared light (56), performing a multi-linear regression of the absorbance spectrum of the subject's tissue in relation to absorbance spectra of tissue constituents (60), and calculating body fluid metrics based on the results of the multi-linear regression (66). A system (20) is provided having a sensor (24) for emitting the light into the subject's tissue and detecting reflected, scattered, or transmitted light, a spectrometer (40) for processing the detected light and generating the absorbance spectrum of the subject's tissue, memory (44) for storing absorbance spectra of the tissue constituents and a multi-linear regression model, and a processor (42) for performing the multi-linear regression and calculating the body fluid metrics.
