摘要： A hearing device case (100) that includes a first body portion (120) and a second body portion (140) that is movably connected to the first body portion (120) is described herein. The first body portion (120) may include an inner surface (122) that defines a first cavity (125) extending into the first body (120) portion to receive a first hearing device. The second body portion (140) may include an inner surface (142) that defines a second cavity (145) extending into the second body portion (140) to receive a second hearing device (240). The hearing device case (100) may also include a battery (102) disposed in one of the first and second body portions and electronics (104) disposed in the other of the first and second body portions. The hearing device case (100) may be configured into a closed position to charge the hearing devices disposed therein.

The body portion (120) extends between a first end region (122) and a second end region (124) along a tube centerline (121). The body portion includes a first curved portion (132) proximate the first end region (122) and second curved portion (134) proximate the second end region (124). The first curved portion (132) defines a radius of curvature (Ri) that is greater than or equal to a radius of curvature (R2) defined by the second curved portion (134). The tube centerline may lie along an x-y plane between the first and second end regions. In one or more embodiments, the body portion may define a passageway extending between the first and second end regions. Further, the hearing device cable may include a superelastic wire within the passageway extending between the first and second end regions.

The CIC hearing aid is for extended use and includes a core module inserted into a sleeve. The core module and the sleeve each include various features providing for a minimum overall size, ease of insertion, removal, and cleaning, and enhanced sound transmission. The tool set is configured to be stored and carried in a single piece and provides for adjustment and cleaning of the CIC hearing aid. Open ear fits and occlusive ear fits are possible using different sleeves.

摘要： The present subject matter includes method and apparatus for an insulating layer applied to a battery to effectively increase the insulated separation between the anode and cathode contact surfaces of the battery. This increase in effective separation between anode and cathode decreases the probability that moisture applied to the battery will cause substantial ohmic conductivity between the anode and the cathode. Consequently, fewer batteries will be prematurely depleted or destroyed by moisture and fewer devices holding those batteries will need repair. The present subject matter serves to prevent or eliminate discharge of corrosive battery chemicals due to moisture and operating in wet environments. The life of batteries and devices using the present subject matter is thus extended.
