Embodiments of a method may include receiving a data request at a firewall where the data request is associated with a program and determining whether a process rule exists for the associated program, where the process rule includes a condition to be satisfied for a process of the user computer system. Preferred embodiments may also include, in response to determining that a process rule does exist, determining a method for evaluating a status of the process and determining a current status of the process. Preferred embodiments may also include determining whether the process rule is satisfied based on the current status of the process and using the determined evaluation method. Preferred embodiments may also include, in response to determining whether the condition of the process rule is satisfied, performing one or more firewall actions.

The class of service is based upon factors that reflect a potential storage device's reliability, such as the device type and historical uptime data. 摘要： A method, system, and program for maintaining application operations within a suboptimal grid environment are provided. An application profile expresses the operational requirements of an application across multiple heterogeneous resource platforms and expresses the priority of modular breakdown of an application so that usage of resources by the application can be adjusted when suboptimal conditions are detected for the application. The application is submitted to at least one resource node from among multiple resource nodes within a grid environment. Then, a service availability management agent monitors a performance status of the at least one resource node. The service availability management agent compares the performance status with an operational requirement specified for the platform of the at least one resource node in the application profile. If the performance status does not meet the operational requirement, then the service availability management agent adjusts the use by the application the resource nodes according to the application profile, such that the application continues to operate when suboptimal conditions arise in a grid environment.

摘要： An embodiment of the invention provides for multiple service classes within a controllable transit system (e.g., a PRT system), by route allocation according to service class priority. Routes are optimized for vehicles needing or entitled to the highest service level, then remaining capacity is used to optimize routes for the next lower service class. Such optimization can be extended indefinitely, through "N" service classes of service. In addition, an embodiment of the invention allows the cataloging of PRT capacity and vehicle types/roles/emissions, as well as related business models. The system provided hereunder provides a means of ensuring that various service classes of system users can be given treatment according to the service class in which they reside. Such prioritization leads to a more flexible system, with higher user satisfaction and a greater number of available business models (e.g., "pay for service class") permissible within the transit system.

Two dimensional (2D) and three dimensional (3D) virtual world renditions are automatically created to replicate the associated real-life IT environment. 摘要： A method, system, and program for facilitating overall grid environment management by monitoring grid activity across disparate grid resources and distributing grid activity to decisional grid modules (502,504,506,508,510,512) are provided. A grid workload controller within a computational grid environment monitors real-time grid activity at an application level from multiple disparate grid application environments . The grid workload controller (402,408) then determines a selection of grid modules within the computational grid environment that require the real-time grid activity to make decisions about the management of the computational grid environment. The grid workload controller distributes the real-time grid activity to the selection of grid modules, wherein the selection of grid modules then make automated decisions within the grid environment to maintain performance requirements .
