    • An automatic gearbox, in particular for motor vehicles, has an internal gear pump for feeding a hydrodynamic converter, lubricant means and control and actuating means of the automatic gearbox through a main head valve. An excess stream flows back from the main head valve to the inner gear pump through a supercharging channel (18). The supercharging channel (18) has a cross-section that narrows down continuously in the direction of the inner gear pump and has a supercharging nozzle (20) at its end that faces the inner gear pump. The supercharging channel (18) opens together with its supercharging nozzle (20) next to the suction zone of the inner gear pump into a suction channel (14) in communication with a tank.
