    • The present invention is directed towards methods and systems for communicating packets between network interface hardware of a multi-core device and a plurality of virtualized packet processors executed by one or more cores of the multi-core device. A first virtualization domain on the device may receive (1201) a packet via the network interface hardware. The first virtualization domain may comprise a privileged domain having access to the hardware. The system may communicate (1203) the packet to a queue for a virtualized packet processor from a plurality of virtualized packet processors and executing within a second virtualization domain on a core. The second virtualization domain may not have direct access to the network interface hardware. The packet processor may determine (1205) that the queue includes a difference between a number of packets read from and written to the queue. The packet processor may process (1207) the packet from the queue responsive to the determination.

    • Systems and methods are described for link load balancing, by a multi-core intermediary device, a plurality of Internet links. The method may include load balancing, by a multi-core device intermediary to a plurality of devices and a plurality of Internet links, network traffic across the plurality of Internet links. The multi-core device providing persistence of network traffic to a selected Internet link based on a persistence type.     • The present application is directed towards policy based routing for intelligent traffic management via multiple next hops. In some embodiments, the systems and methods disclosed herein may provide management of inbound and outbound traffic across multiple network links, and may further provide reliability in case of link failure, and provide balancing of traffic, responsive to the latency and bandwidth requirements of various applications. Accordingly, these systems and methods may provide intelligent policy-based routing and network and port address translation, sensitive to application traffic types, protocols, source IP addresses and ports, destination IP addresses and ports, or any combination thereof, and can balance traffic loads among multiple available paths based on multiple traffic characteristics. The routing may performed on a packet-by-packet basis, a transaction-by-transaction basis, or a session-by-session basis, and the systems and methods may include capabilities for application-aware health monitoring of available network paths.

    • The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for supporting multiple virtual LANs (VLANs) via a single tunnel between intermediary devices. A first intermediary device of a first data center on a first network receives, from a second intermediary device of a second data center on a second network, an encapsulated packet via a tunnel established between the first intermediary device and the second intermediary device, the first intermediary device comprising a plurality of network interfaces, each network interface of the plurality of network interfaces interfacing to a corresponding virtual LAN (VLAN) network of a plurality of VLAN networks. The first intermediary device detects that the encapsulated packet has been tagged with virtual LAN (VLAN) information by the second intermediary device. The first intermediary device identifies, from the VLAN information, a VLAN network of the plurality of VLAN networks. The first intermediary device transmits a packet of the encapsulated packet via the network interface corresponding to the identified VLAN network.
