    • A projection display device (1) is provided with a light source lamp unit (8), an optical lens unit (9), a projection lens unit (6), and a power source unit (7). Since the bulky units (9 and 7) are stacked in such a way, the dimensions of the whole body of the display device (1) can be reduced in both the longitudinal and transversal directions. Therefore, this portable projection display device does not require any large area for installation. Since the heavier unit (7) is on the bottom side, the device (1) becomes stable when placed on a desk, etc.
