    • The application relates to the Access Network Discovery and Selection Function ANDSF as specified by 3GPP in TS 23.402 and TS 24.302. Currently, the 3GPP standard describes some ANDSF functionality provided by an ANDSF server. Currently, the ANDSF server contains all of the ANDSF functionality. However, the application proposes a hierarchical ANDSF approach in order to provide more online control over user device network/selection. In some embodiments an overall ANDSF server (12) may be a separate ANDSF server or integrated with an ANDSF server in the RAN (16). In a network of one operator there may be one or more ANDSF and/or RAN-ANDSF servers, for example one RAN-ANDSF server per cell/location/tracking/routing area. Furthermore, a network operator may wish to offload selected users to a Wi-Fi network (6, 8) only when certain conditions are satisfied. For example, if there is congestion in the mobile network, the network operator may wish to offload some of the users to a Wi-Fi network. Therefore, the [RAN-]ANDSF prepares new network selection policies encouraging Wi-Fi usage to the selected users and transmits the policies to the user devices.

    • A method is shown for controlling content sharing towards a terminal during a teleconferencing session. The method comprises: establishing the teleconferencing session between at least a first and a second terminal; selecting, for the first terminal, a communication link having suitable link characteristics for sharing desired content during the teleconferencing session; observing, in the first terminal, changes occurring in the link characteristics of the communication link or in internal characteristics of the first terminal; in response to at least one predetermined parameter value of said link characteristics or said internal characteristics of the first terminal reaching a predetermined threshold, changing a conferencing capability of the first terminal. Optionally, an indication is then transmitted to at least one party of the teleconferencing session or to a conferencing bridge that the content sharing towards the first terminal is to be limited according to a rule included in said indication.

    • A method of transmitting data in a packet radio network to a mobile station (MS) performing a routing area update. The packet radio network transmits data (2-1, 2-3) to the mobile station (MS) via a first support node (SGSN1). The mobile station (MS) sends a routing area update message (2-1) to a second support node (SGSN2), which sends to the first support node (SGSN1) a request (2-3) for context data (2-5) of the mobile station from the first support node. The first support node (SGSN1) sends (2-3c, 3-3c) from its memory, data addressed to the mobile station to the second support node. It then waits for a predetermined period of time (3-3b) before sending the data to the second support node (SGSN2). The predetermined time (3-3b) may be fixed, depending preferably on the quality of service of the connection used by the mobile station. Alternatively the predetermined period of time expires when the second support note (SGSN2) sends to the first support node (SGSN1) a separate acknowledgement message indicating that the second support node has received the context data of the mobile station.
