摘要： A hygienic cover is provided for use with a telephone handset (24) having a telephone earpiece and a telephone mouthpiece. The cover is made from a fabric material (10) and is shaped to fit over or overlie the mouthpiece or earpiece. The cover may be cap-shaped, or in the form of a band (20) which fits over the earpiece or mouthpiece, or in the form of a band (30) or pouch which fits over a ring (31) that is supported on a clip (33) that is attachable to the handset. Use of elastic threads, stretch or elasticated fabric, or adhesive strips or zones, enables the cover to be removably retained in its fitted position over a mouthpiece or earpiece. Preferably the cover is impregnated with a disinfectant and a deodorant, and is biodegradable.
