The drive device is operated by a radio-remote control and/or an optically operating remote control. The fixing element exhibits a thorn insertable into the mast of the dryer, and the drive device is fastenable at the mast-heel and the slide joint (13) of the dryer. An independent claim is included for a rotary clothes dryer.
