    • The decorative modification method comprises manufacturing a metal blank, treating the surface thereof by cleaning and polishing, subjecting the front and/or reverse surfaces to cold plastic deformation by embossing a three-dimensional matt decorative element and, adjacent thereto, a flat specular decorative element on said surfaces, with said decorative elements contrasting in terms of class of roughness and tonality. The embossing of the decorative elements is conducted on a locally arranged section or sections of the surface. At the same time as the embossing of the decorative elements, a projection or projections are embossed over the outer contour of the local sections. A mosaic decorative element is mounted on the side of the lateral edge of the projection opposite that edge of the projection which adjoins the local sections of the decorative element, which is formed by plastic deformation, on the surface or on the locally arranged sections of the surface of the blank. Prior to the mosaic decorative element being mounted, the sections of the surface with the three-dimensional and flat decorative elements which are contrasting in terms of class of roughness and tonality are masked.
