摘要： Cleaning devices are disclosed which can rapidly be reconfigured from an elongated mop, to an intermediate size upper wall cleaner, to a shorter window cleaner. A common aerosol canister support and actuator and a common cleaning head are used. The device can be triggered by either a trigger on the support, or by a remote trigger on a separate handle. An extension wand can connect the remote handle to the canister support. Linkages between the handle, wand and support are via a quick disconnect coupler allowing rapid disassembly and assembly while permitting triggering components to act through the joint created by the coupler.

摘要： A trigger actuated aerosol spray cleaning device (10) having a cleaning head (24) mounted by a quick disconnect coupler (52) to be independently pivotal about at least two axes. In one form, the coupler (52) has a body with a socket (120) receiving a plug end (124) of the cleaning device which is retained by a button (128) actuated, spring (132) biased latching ring (126) preventing axial separation from the coupler until the button (128) is depressed. In another form, spring (206) biased opposing jaws (200) releasably clamp the head (24A) to the device (10A). A swivel member (214, 216) pivotally mounts to either the coupler body (88A) or opposing jaws (200) along one axis (90A) and to the cleaning head (24A) at a second axis (62A). The swivel action in either case can be temporarily disabled by a sliding locking feature.

In one form an over cap (500') fits onto the canister (5) over the valve and has a male stem (600) on a pivotable part of the over cap (500') that opens the valve when moved by a rod (208) linked to a remote trigger (412). The stem (600) is either formed integrally with the over cap (500') or is removably attached to a stem socket (700) formed in the over cap (500'). The retainer has a "ski-boot" configuration with a heel assembly (90) slidable on a fixed rail (80) having a spring biased latch (106) engaging the rim (130) at the bottom of the canister (22) and clamping it against a toe stop (74), which is configured to align the canister with a trigger operated actuator (56). The heel assembly (90) slides and locks in position for either a full-size or compact canister (22) to snap into the device. The canister is removed by depressing a thumb operated release lever (110) which clears the latch (106) from the canister.
