摘要： Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A multicast architecture may support flexible change between unicast and multicast operations and may support additional traffic types (e.g., Internet Protocol and Ethernet traffic). For example, the multicast architecture may include transmitting data over a shared multicast radio bearer (MRB) and/or specific data radio bearers (DRBs), a multicast user plane function (UPF) for supplying the multicast data to a base station, multicast data from different radio access networks (RANs), protecting the multicast data through creating a group key, ciphering the multicast data sent on the MRB using the group key, and transitioning the multicast data from a source RAN to a target RAN.

摘要： Residential/Enterprise network connection management and handover scenarios. A method, system and device are provided for managing LIPA and/or SIPTO connection releases when UE moves out of residential/enterprise network coverage in case service continuity is not supported for the LIPA/SIPTO PDN connection (s). To address problems caused by not providing service continuity for LIPA/SIPTO PDN connections, the PDN connection/PDP context created in the HeNB/HNB by the MME/SGSN includes context information related to the UE indicating whether such connection is a LIPA PDN connection PDN connection or not. In particular, when the MME (1708) receives a handover request (17-1) from a source base station (1704), if it determines that the active PDN connections are LIPA PDN connections and that LIPA PDN continuity cannot be supported towards the target cell, the MME (1708) rejects the handover and sends (17-2) a Failure message to the source base station (1704).

In particular, the mechanism includes a method for one media independent handoff function (MIHF) to discover events or a type of information available in another MIHF, wherein the method includes allowing the one MIHF to request either whether a specific event, list of events, type of information or some combination thereof is being supported by another MIHF. The method includes allowing the one MIHF to be able to subscribe to the specific event or to receive the list of events or type of information.
