    • The invention relates to a kit of parts (10) for manufacturing an end piece (2) with an integral journal (2) from a composite material for a cylinder or roller, the kit of parts (10) comprising: an outer mould (3) having a coefficient of thermal expansion of A, an inner mould (1) having a coefficient of thermal expansion of B that is higher than A, and a fusible composite material (2), wherein, said fusible composite material is adopted to cover the inner surface of said outer mould (3), said inner mould (1) is adopted to be positioned inside said outer mould (3) so that the inner mould (1) is adjacent to said fusible composite material (2). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing an end piece (2) from a composite material with an integral journal from a metallic, ceramic, composite or otherwise composite material for a cylinder or roller, the method utilizing such a kit of parts.
