摘要： A method of constructing a desiccant pot by trapping a spun-bonded low density membrane (15) between two separate parts constituting either the pot lid (13) or the pot body (12), these two separate parts (13, 12) being made of high density plastic, and then fusing the membrane (15) and the separate parts together, in which one of the separate parts has upon its touching surface (20) an energy directing protrusion (21), arranged such that when the three components are assembled so that the two separate body and lid parts are pressed together with the membrane between, the energy directing protrusion (21) extends from one touching surface (20) to the other (22) to space them slightly apart.

摘要： The invention suggests a desiccant stopper suitable for use with a bottle of pills or the like, which stopper is of a thermoplastics material and is in the form of a pot at least one end face of which is made from a fibrous fabric sheet (14) of a plastic material attached around its periphery to either the body (12) of the pot or to a lid (13) for the pot body (12), and wherein the attachement is effected by the sheet (14) being embedded within the material of the body (12) or lid (13), or both. It also proposes two methods by which such a structure can be manufactured, one involving holding the sheet (14) in place while the body (12) or lid (13) material is injection-moulded around it, the other involving sonic fusion of the body/lid material around the sheet (14).

摘要： Switches for electric lights are commonly used when the ambient light conditions are poor, and the switch itself can barely be seen. It has previously been suggested that each switch be fitted with a light source indicating the switch's location, but none of the several proposals have been entirely successful. The present invention suggests another version, in which there is employed a behind-the-switch/socket backing plate (10) that is constructed partly as an annular light guide (11, of the fiber-optic, totally-internally-reflected type), to which light is supplied from a light source (12, 41), and partly as an annular light diffusion member (14), to which light is uniformly delivered from the light guide (11) and from which that light can escape into the surrounding space, the annular light diffusion member (14) extending more or less evenly around the switch/socket plate (10) so that in effect the light from the light source (12, 41) is seen as a halo-like glow around the switch/socket.
