    • The present application provides an access sheath (2) for use in an endourological procedure. The access sheath (2) is configured for use with a surgical tool (4) having a suction channel (8) for extraction of fluid from a treatment site (5) during use. The access sheath (2) is positionable within a patient's urinary system (3) during use to provide access to the treatment site (5) for the surgical tool (4). The access sheath (2) comprises an access channel (6) extending to a distal end (10) of the access sheath (2). The access channel (6) is configured to receive the surgical tool (4) such that a distal end (11) of the surgical tool (4) passes through the access channel (6) and is positioned at the treatment site (5) during use. The access sheath (2) also includes an irrigation fluid channel (7) configured to convey irrigation fluid to the treatment site (7) during use such that irrigation fluid is provided to the treatment site (5) via the irrigation fluid channel (7) of the access sheath (2) and is extracted via the suction channel (8) of the surgical tool (6). The present application also provides apparatus (1) for use in an endourological procedure that includes a surgical tool (4) and an access sheath (2), and an access sheath adapter (35) for use with the access sheath (2).
