摘要： A thermoelectric generator may comprise a pair of thermally conducive top and bottom plates having a foil assembly therebetween. The foil assembly may comprise a substrate having a series of thermoelectric legs formed thereon. The legs may be formed of alternating dissimilar materials arranged in at least one row. Each one of the legs may define a leg axis oriented non-parallel to the row axis. Thermally conductive strips on opposite sides of the substrate may be aligned with opposite ends of the legs in the rows such that one end of the legs is in thermal contact with the top plate and the opposite end of the legs is in thermal contact with the bottom plate. The thermally conductive strips define thermal gaps between the legs and the top and bottom plates causing heat to flow lengthwise through the legs resulting in the generation of electrical voltage.

摘要： The present invention relates to laser marked tags and more specifically, to a system and method for ink over laser label marking. A tag is produced by creating a laser marking that effaces the material within the thickness of a tag. Once the material beneath the surface is obliterated, creating a significant laser marking, the laser marking is covered with ink. The ink that is supplied to the laser marking adheres to the carved out portion within the thickness of the tag, that is, below the outer surface of the tag which protects the ink marking from wear and deterioration.

摘要： The present invention generally relates to systems, methods and applications utilizing the convergence of any combination of the following three technologies: wireless positioning or localizing technology, wireless communications technology and sensor technology. In particular, certain embodiments of the present invention relate to a remote device (100) that includes a sensor for determining or measuring a desired parameter, a receiver for receiving position data from the Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite system (15), a processor for determining whether or not alert conditions are present and a wireless transceiver for transmitting the measured parameter data and the position data to a central station, such as an application service provider (ASP) (200). The ASP, in turn, may communicate the measured data, position data and notification of any alerts to an end user (25) via an alert device. The present invention also relates to various applications and systems utilizing the capabilities of such a device.
