摘要： In various embodiments, an electronic device such as a portable computer has a structure that extends from the device to wirelessly transfer electrical power between itself and an external device. The structure may be placed in a non-extended position when not being used for such power transfer. In some embodiments power transfer may take place in either direction, and may be used for various purposes, such as to provide operational power and/or to charge a battery. The external device may be placed on or near the extended structure for power transfer to take place.

The gas distributor defines at least one channel in fluid communication with the gas flow elements. The gas flow elements are configured to receive gas from a gas supply such that gas flows through the gas flow elements and exits to the channels substantially parallel to the surface of the permeable substrate. The gas from the gas supply may be conditioned. The permeable substrate may be a wicking material and may be a garment substrate. The gas distributor may be substantially incompressible. The gas flow elements may be selectively positioned to target the ventilation needs of a particular class of users.

摘要： A nasal inhalation device for nebulizing liquid, including medication, used in treatment of upper respiratory and other conditions amenable to intra-nasal administration of medication comprises an internal, electrically powered air compressor unit, a nebulizing device, a conduit for connecting the air compressor to nebulizing device and tubing for delivering nebulized fluid to an individual's nasal passages. The compressor unit produces a pressurized air flow which passes through the connecting conduit to the nebulizing means. In the nebulizing device the pressurized air flow interacts with liquid and medication to reduce it to a fine spray. The tubing means carries the spray into individual's nasal passages to effect inhalation therapy for nasal and upper respiratory conditions and for a variety of other conditions whose treating medications have an intra-nasal route of administration.

摘要： Techniques are disclosed involving coils that may be used to exchange wireless energy between devices. For instance, a device may include a coil having a plurality of turns arranged along an arc. Further, the coil may have first and second ends that are substantially normal to the arc. The coil may be arranged within a casing of the device. This casing may have first and second non-parallel surfaces. In embodiments, the first end of the coil may be directed to (be substantially parallel with and proximate to) the first surface, while the second end of the coil may be directed to (be substantially parallel with and proximate to) the second surface. The coil may be employed in wireless power transfer and/or near field communication applications.

The wireless charging device includes an inductive coupler, a reflected power detector, a power source and a power control system. The inductive coupler is configured to charge at least one electronic device present in the charging area. The inductive coupler takes power form the power source. The inductive coupler is also capable of communicating with electronic devices being charged to exchange a set of information. In addition to notebook PCs, this solution can be extended to desktop and tablet PCs, slates and office furniture as pervasive means of wireless charging multiple devices.

摘要： Techniques are disclosed involving reconfigurable coils. Such coils may be used in applications, including (but not limited to) wireless charging and near field communications (NFC). For instance, a reconfigurable coil may include a first conductive portion and a second conductive portion. Two or more configurations may be established. These configurations may correspond to particular current paths. For example, in a circular configuration, a path is provided having the same rotational sense in both first and second conductive portions. However, in a figure eight configuration, a path is provided having a first rotational sense in the first conductive portion and a second rotational sense in the second conductive portion. A switch coupled between these portions may set the coil's configuration. Configurations may be selected based on one or more operating conditions involving the coil.
