    • The present invention relates to a system and method for synchronizing a video signal and a sensor signal, wherein the synchronization method is performed by allowing a synchronization device to transmit a synchronization signal to a sensor and a central controller, respectively, the sensor and the central controller each having a built-in synchronization clock, to synchronize those synchronization clocks for an input video signal from a camera and a sensor signal corresponding to each video signal; attaching acquisition time to the sensor signal obtained from the sensor and transmitting the signal to a computer via the central controller; and allowing the central controller to add acquisition time to the number of acquisition of a video signal transmitted from the camera to the computer such that the computer can perform the synchronization of the video signal and the sensor signal on the basis of the information on acquisition time. The system for synchronizing a video signal and a sensor signal according to the present invention comprises: a camera, which photographs an object, acquires a video signal and outputs the acquired video signal; a sensor, which has a built-in, first synchronization clock, generates a sensor signal corresponding to the video signal in cooperation with a sensing operation, adds, to the generated sensor signal, the information on acquisition time from the first synchronization clock and outputs the signal; a central controller, which has a built-in, second synchronization clock, performs a control operation for receiving the sensor signal with the acquisition time information from the sensor and transmitting it to a computer, obtains a cumulative number of acquisition for video signals transmitted from the camera to the computer, adds the information on acquisition time from the second synchronization clock to the number of acquisition and then transmits or stores the number for use in the analysis for verifying the synchronization; a synchronizer, which has a built-in reference clock and simultaneously transmits a reference time for the synchronization of the first and second synchronization clocks to the sensor and the central controller at regular intervals; and the computer, which receives the sensor signal including the acquisition time information from the central controller as well as the video signal from the camera to check the time information by signal and then reconstruct the respective signals in the same time zone, thereby synchronizing the video signal and the sensor signal. The present invention can ensure synchronization of a video signal and a sensor signal that are collected according to surrounding environment.
