摘要： A loading and unloading system (14) for a truck (10) has a ramp (16) that fits within a ramp storage compartment (18) formed under a bed (12) of the truck (10). The ramp (16) is mounted with a ramp mounting assembly (20) such that the ramp (16) can be moved from a stored position to an extended position. In one embodiment, the truck (10) includes a tailgate (22) that is adapted to be stored in a tailgate storage compartment (24) formed under the ramp storage compartment (18). In a second embodiment, the tailgate (122) is pivotally mounted to a sidewall (13A) of the truck (10) such that the tailgate (122) can be moved to a retracted position.
