    • The invention concerns a soil tillage roller with helical elements, comprising a carrier frame (2) provided with two vertical lateral supports (3, 4), and at least two helical elements (5, 6) of similar pitch mounted each on a horizontal central shafts (7 and 8 respectively) whereof the ends co-operate with bearings arranged on said corresponding vertical lateral supports (3, 4). The helical elements (5, 6) are produced in a metal strip inclined relative to the vertical by an angle ranging between 5 DEG and 85 DEG , and are located one behind the other offset by a half-pitch. The central shafts (7, 8) are spaced apart form each other by one helical element minus the width of the strip.

    • A clod breaking and compacting implement for treating soil comprises a load-bearing chassis (15) which can be angularly oriented with respect to the driving axle of the implement and in which are rotatably mounted at least two parallel spiral elements (1, 2), at least one of which rolls along the ground. Said spiral elements, of identical or different diameter, each have a pitch and a diameter such that when they rotate jointly the coils (9) of one element remain in close contact with the coils (10) of the other element(s), each spiral element being in desmodromic mechanical connection with each of the others. The desmodromic connection is effected by means of endless chains which pass over pinions at the ends of the rotating shaft (7, 8) of each spiral element, the number of teeth on each pinion being a function of the pitch and diameter of the coils of the associated spiral element.
