    • The invention concerns an electric hand-operated grinder having a tool holder (22) which is driven by a rotating eccentric pin (20) and, in order to hold a grinding tool, comprises a rapid-locking system (24) with mutually corresponding locking elements (40, 41) which are secured at the tool and tool holder ends. In order to transmit greater power from the tool holder (22) to the grinding tool (10), the locking elements (40) at the tool end are formed by hooks (42) disposed on a circle, and the locking elements (41) at the tool holder end are formed by an annular curved spring wire (43). The spring wire (43) comprises radially inwardly directed recesses (431) whose number corresponds to the number of hooks (42) at the tool end. These recesses (431) engage behind the hooks (42) at the tool end in order to lock the grinding tool (10).

    • The invention concerns a hand-operated orbital sander comprising a housing (12) and a tool holder (22) which holds a grinding tool (10) and is mounted via a rotary bearing (21) on a rotating eccentric pin (20) which projects out of the housing (12). In order to prevent the tool holder (22) from being entrained in rotation, an oscillating element (23) is provided with an inner ring (26), an outer ring (27) and a moulded part (28) of resilient material for interconnecting the two rings. The inner ring (26) is secured on the tool holder (22), coaxially to the rotary bearing (21), and the outer ring (27) is held in a rotationally rigid manner in the housing (22). The oscillating element (23) distributes the force symmetrically, enabling the twisting moment of the tool holder (22) with the grinding tool (10) to be adjusted as necessary via the hardness or thickness of the resilient moulded part (28).
