    • An uncoated airbag fabric is made of a plain or rib weave of polyamide filament yarn with 1.5 to 7 dtex fibril titre, 50 to 80 cN/tex strength, 15 to 30 % extensibility, less than 3 l/dm /min air permeability, less than 2 % residual shrinkage when boiled and more than 110 N tear-grow resistance in warp and woof. In a process for producing this uncoated airbag fabric, a polyamide filament with less than 6 % hot air shrinkage and more than 0.20 cN/tex minimum resistance to shrinking is used. The fabric is treated in a closed container at a temperature from 80 to 160 DEG C and a relative atmospheric humidity from 90 to 100 %, is dried on a stretching frame and fixed or treated by a generally known calendering or sanforising process.
