    • The invention concerns a manually operated angle pickup (1) comprising a rotatably mounted and manually movable transmitter element (8), a sensor which scans the latter, and a detent mechanism which operates magnetically and in a contactless manner and maintains the transmitter element (8) in defined angular positions which can change from one to another by manual operation. The detent mechanism comprises at least one permanent magnet (45) whose poles (N, S) are disposed in the axial direction, a toothed disc (47, 49) being provided on the side of at least one pole of the permanent magnet (45). The angle pickup (1) comprises at a radial spacing from the toothed discs (47, 49) discs (33, 35) with a corresponding number of teeth, the discs (33, 35) being interconnected by the magnetic flux of a material with good conductivity.
