    • The present invention refers to a system and a method for probability analysis of a target system (10), wherein output probability signals are generated dependent on generated input probability signals and based on a set of predetermined probability rules and a causal model describing the causality dependencies of the target system (10). The system (1) according to an embodiment of the invention comprises an identifier (20), which receives a status signal from a sensor (14) arranged at a component (12) of the target system (10), wherein the identifier (20) identifies the component (12) associated to the status signal. Further, the identifier can generate an input probability signal dependent on the status signal and the component (12). The input probability signal is then transmitted to a probability analysis apparatus (40), which generates the output probability signal.
