    • Methods and systems for automatically and efficiently categorizing, securely transmitting, and managing multimedia contents generated from a network connection enabled digital data generating device by way of multimedia transcoding, compression, and/or classification. Content similarity between multimedia data units with one unit corresponding to one image, one video frame, or one audio frame is first detected and identified, and then used to help encode conditionally one unit given another. Based on the identified content similarity and/or the resulting compression efficiency, these multimedia units are automatically categorized in terms of their contents along with their locations, occasions, events, and/or features. Whenever network connections selected by a user are available, these encoded and categorized multimedia data units along with their metadata containing side information including their locations, occasions, events, features, and other information specified by the user are then automatically and securely transmitted to networks, cloud servers, and/or other network connected devices.

    • A mobile device may transition between Extended Service Set ("ESS") networks seamlessly, such that a consumer never loses the network connection despite the transition. The communication for enabling a transition may be prior to association with that network. The seamless transition may be enabled through the creation and utilization of a central key holder authority that advertises its identity to mobile devices in a pre- associated state. The mobile device can use the key discovery communication along with a key generation method to authenticate and/or associate with a network and transition from one ESS to another. There may be a common root key across ESSs. At each new access point ("AP") that the mobile device encounters, ESS and key holder identities may be discovered through discovery communications.

    • The present invention provides a recombinant or synthetic fusion polypeptide comprising a peptide component with bone tissue renerating activity, a linker peptide and an antimicrobial competence stimulating peptide with bone tissue renerating activity. The fusion polypeptide or antimicrobial competence stimulating peptide, which enhances osteogenic cell binding, is useful for repairing dental bony defects such as those caused by bone loss resulting from moderate to severe periodontitis, augmenting of bony defects of the alveolar ridge, filling tooth extraction sites, or sinus elevation grafting. The repair material includes a porous, resorbable particulate that is bone derived or derived from bone-like hydroxyapatite or synthetic hydroxylapatite and/or a resorbable carrier such as high molecular weight polysaccharides. Furthermore, the fusion polypeptide or antimicrobial competence stimulating peptide alone of this invention is useful for treatment of fractures, as filler in deficient sites of bone, for inhibition of decrease in bone substance related to osteoporosis, and also for prevention of fractures associated with osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. The fusion polypeptide or antimicrobial competence stimulating peptide can be combined with a bone-compatible matrix to facilitate slow release of the peptide to a treatment site and/or provide a structure for developing bone.
