The control unit (13) is arranged to control the electro-pneumatic control assemblies (1, 2) so that respective braking pressures values (P1, P2) are applied to the braking actuators (10), the sum of these pressures (P) being substantially equal to the value of the target pressure (P t ), and so that the electro-pneumatic assemblies (1, 2) are controlled in an alternate manner, at least for a predetermined time interval, so as to cause, in subsequent instants of time separated by a predetermined interval (T), alternately a variation of the pressure value (P1) applied to the first braking actuator means and the value (P2) of the pressure applied to the second braking actuator means (10).
