    • At present a number of frequency bands in the region of 450, 950, 900, 1700, 1800, 1900 and 2100 MHz are utilised for cellular and mobile communications, additional bands are under consideration for future expansion of such wireless communication systems. Recently, placing UMTS signals into existing GSM spectrum has received increasing levels of interest. The present invention is directed to systems and methods of combining GSM and UTMS signals in a shared methodology that offers good isolation. A number of different combiner structures are disclosed, the various combiner types each utilise differing transmitter ports topologies to effect the placement of UTMS signals within the existing GSM spectrum and vice versa.

    • There is provided a valve including a bonnet (10) adapted to be screwed into a tap body (not shown) and tightened to seal the inlet end of the bonnet (10) to the tap body. The outlet from the bonnet (10) to the tap body outlet casting is provided by six apertures (18). A spindle (22) engages the bonnet (10) by spindle engagement threads (15) and (23), and O-ring seal (24). A tap washer assembly (25) is engages the end of the spindle (22). A threaded counter bore (19) in the inlet end of the bonnet (10) receives a removable annular seat (26) having a spigot extension (29). The inner face (33) of the seat (26) forms a sealing face for the washer assembly (25). The outer face (31) of the seat (26) forms, with washer (27), the seal of the inlet end of the bonnet to the tap body. The seat (26) is one of a set having bores (34) of 2, 3, 4 and 6mm respectively. The lead in portions (30) taper in to the bore (34) to provide hydrodynamic quietening, and is confined to the spigot portion (29) to avoid reduction in section of the seat. The apparatus has the advantages of having selective chokes to limit maximum flow rate for a given supply pressure and reduced tap body seat wear.

    • There is provided a screen module (10) including a fabricated steel frame (11) having peripheral side elements (12) an intermediate element embedded at (13) and transverse ladder elements embedded at (14). The ends of the peripheral side elements (12) are relieved at their ends (15). Edge reinforcing elements (16) extend between respective ends of the peripheral side elements (12), the mid points of the edge reinforcing elements (16) being interconnected by the relieved ends of the intermediate element embedded at (13). A polyurethane screen body (17) is moulded over and embeds the fabricated steel frame (11). The screen body has formed therein a groove (20) which is interrupted at the location of each of the peripheral side elements (12) and intermediate element embedded at (13) by moulded lugs (21). A substantially unreinforced body portion (22) extends along the inner side of the groove (20). The presence of the groove (20) forms a flange (24) adapted to engage a corresponding channel formed in a support rail (not shown).

    • The invention provides a screen module for use on vibratory screening apparatus. The screen module includes: a panel frame having opposed side portions joined by opposed end portions, the end portions being configured for locating the panel frame between spaced panel support rails of the vibratory screening apparatus; at least one intermediate portion extending between the opposed side portions and/or opposed end portions and dividing the panel frame into panel portions; the side portions and said at least one intermediate portion having engagement formations provided on upper surfaces thereof that, together with engagement formations provided on each of the panel support rails of the vibratory screening apparatus, in use, form peripheral panel engagement formations about the panel portions; and at least one pair of screen panels, said screen panels overlying respective panel portions of the panel frame and including complementary engagement formations on an underside periphery thereof for engagement with the peripheral panel engagement formations, defined by the engagement formations of the panel frame and panel support rails.
