摘要： A system for displaying mechanical activation patterns of a heart comprises a data input, a processor, and an output. The data input is for receiving data from an electrophysiology apparatus. The processor is electrically connected to the data input, and is configured to calculate mechanical activation parameters from the data, generate an anatomical representation of the heart from the data, divide the anatomical representation into segments, and generate a depiction that displays magnitudes of the mechanical activation parameter relative to the segments such that performance of a plurality of segments can be simultaneously evaluated. The output is for transmitting the depiction to a display.

摘要： Method and devices for delivering pulsed RF ablation energy to enable the creation of lesions in tissue are disclosed. The delivery of RF energy is controlled such that the generator (20) power setting remains sufficiently high to form adequate lesions while mitigating against overheating of tissue. An ablation catheter tip (42) having high-thermal-sensitivity comprises a thermally -insulative ablation tip insert (58) supporting at least one temperature sensor (68) and encapsulated, or essentially encapsulated, by a conductive shell (44). A system (10) for delivering pulsed RF energy to a catheter (12) during catheter ablation comprises an RF generator (20) and a pulse control box (22) operatively connected to the generator and configured to control delivery of pulsatile RF energy to an ablation catheter comprising at least one temperature sensor mounted in its tip. Also disclose is a method of controlling the temperature of an ablation catheter tip while creating a desired lesion using pulsatile delivery of RF energy.
